a 9-day challenge towards sexual liberation
From being taught Sex Ed by an untrained gym coach, being told to “not bring any babies in this house”, to complete silence about the topic, many of us have a somewhat similar story about how we learned or did not learn about sex, sexuality, and relationships.
This challenge is not only about beginning conversations you wish you had or exploring ways to be sexual with yourself and others. We are literally challenging behaviors and messages that promote bullying, miseducation, silence, shame, and toxicity.
We are ending generations of secrets, shame and trauma and hope this challenge is only the beginning for you. Our sexual selves are a vital part of who we are. It impacts how we act, feel, think about ourselves and other people.
If you’ve been with us this long, you know that we believe that sexual liberation is tied to societal freedom. Take a stand for prioritizing sexual health, well-being, and freedom. Share this challenge and invite your family, friends, and partners to join you — we are all trying to get free!
We’d love to know your experiences and thoughts so if you choose to, use #afrosexology to share throughout the challenge!
